The 2026–2027 season marks MYA Orchard’s fourth season of avocado harvesting and trading, with an expected yield of approximately 60 metric tonnes across its key varieties of Ettinger, Pinkerton, Buccaneer, and Hass.
With export channels continuing to face challenges, MYA Orchard has made the strategic decision to allocate its full harvest to the Myanmar domestic market this season. This allows the orchard to focus on strengthening local distribution and making locally grown, premium-quality avocados more accessible to consumers across the country.
In parallel, the Myanmar Avocado Association (MAVO) continues discussions and efforts to develop future trade opportunities with Thailand and China. MYA Orchard remains optimistic about the long-term potential for Myanmar-grown avocados in regional markets and will continue to explore export opportunities as trade channels develop.
